Teacher Background Info
Ms. Deborah Deeg received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Sports Management and Bachelor's of Arts in Education-Physical Education K-12 Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1991. She received her Master's of Arts in Education (Health Education) Degree from East Carolina University in 2005 and National Board Certification in Physical Education K-12 in 2007. Ms. Deeg moved here from Wisconsin in 1997 when she began teaching and coaching at Butler High School during the school's inaugural year. She served as PE/Health Department Chair at Butler from August 2007- June 2012. For a few years, Coach Deeg also contributing to the Athletic Department as a volunteer Intern Athletic Director. She is currently on the School's Leadership Team and is the Club Adviser for the Unified Champion Schools formerly known as Project Unify Club. Coach Deeg teaches the Physical Education portion of the required Health & PE Course and two Core, Cardio and Conditioning Courses. In addition to teaching, she coached JV Volleyball at Butler for 5 years (1998 & 1999, 2004, 2005 & 2006) Furthermore, she has coached High School Boy's and Girl's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field since 1991 producing numerous State and National Champions. The Girl's Track Team won the Team State Title in 2008. Coach Deeg became the Head Boy's and Girl's Cross Country Coach at Butler in the fall 2013 and is currently the Head Coach for the girl's team. On her own time, Coach Deeg loves to play volleyball and softball on recreational or tournament teams.
